She came to the Prophet ﷺ seeking help with her ransom. He offered to pay her ransom and marry her. When the companions heard that she was now a Mother of Believers, the Prophet's wife, they said: 'Her people cannot be slaves to the Prophet's in-laws', and freed all 100 captives they held. The Prophet said: 'I know of no woman who was a greater blessing to her people than Juwayriyah.'.
