What Qaf encodes

Qaf is produced at the deepest point in the human mouth. The back of the throat pressing against the soft palate. No letter goes deeper. This depth is its principle: قدر (qadr. Divine decree, destiny) begins with Qaf. قلب (qalb. The heart) begins with Qaf. قرآن (Quran) begins with Qaf. Ibn Arabi and the Science of Letters

Qaf opens the Muqatta'at ق alone (Surah 50. Qaf), which is a surah about the certainty of resurrection and divine knowledge. The letter stands alone because what it carries cannot be contained by companionship. It is too foundational. Ibn Arabi connects Qaf to Al-Qahhar, the Overwhelming, and to the divine decree that governs all of creation.
