What Kha encodes

Kha is one of the seven dark letters absent from Al-Fatiha. Its sound comes from deep in the throat, produced with a friction that marks something that does not emerge easily. خير (khayr, goodness) begins with Kha, as does خفي (khafi, hidden). The principle: genuine goodness that is not immediately visible, wealth of inner life.

Ibn Arabi and the Science of Letters

Kha connects to Al-Khabir. The All-Aware, the One who knows what is hidden. A person carrying Kha has significant hidden reserves, of goodness, of capability, of wisdom, that are not immediately apparent. They are often underestimated until the Kha quality reveals itself, usually in moments of need.

Kha as the first letter

A name beginning with Kha produces someone whose real value is interior. What they carry matters more than what they display. They are often slow to be seen and quick to be trusted once seen. The Kha person's goodness (khayr) is genuine precisely because it did not need to be shown.

Kha in the Quran

Kha appears in خشوع (khushu, humble devotion), خلق (khalq, creation), خليل (khalil. Intimate friend, as in Ibrahim was Allah's khalil).
