What Zainul Abideen means
Ornament of the Worshippers — Ali ibn Hussain ibn Ali (RA), known as Zainul Abideen (the Ornament of the Worshippers) and Al-Sajjad (he who prostrates frequently). He survived the massacre of Karbala as a sick child. His prostrations in prayer were so extended and beautiful that he was called the Ornament of all who worship. His Sahifa al-Sajjadiyya — a collection of his prayers — is considered one of the most beautiful collections of du'a in Islamic literature, known as the Psalms of the Ahl al-Bayt.
