The Letters

Alif (a) — origin. Meem (m) — love. Ya (y) — reaching. Meem (m) — love again. Ta (t) — manifestation. Origin — love — reaching — love again — manifestation. Little mother: originary, doubly loving, reaching, manifest. Double Meem: doubly loving.

What Umayma asks of its bearer
What carries Umayma into the world is Alif: primary orientation toward being first. Through the interior, Meem brings an interior of love and water; Ya brings an interior of strong selfhood. These are the hidden weathers of the name. The closing letter is Alif: everything resolves back to the source. Read together, the letters ask her to embody little mother as a lived structure, not merely a definition.
Mother of Zaynab bint Jahsh (RA) — the wife of the Prophet whose marriage was given by Allah directly in Quran 33:37: 'We have given her in marriage to you.' Aunt of the Prophet ﷺ.
