The wise counsellor, the one who knows — carried in Islamic tradition as the name of Asif ibn Barkhiya, the minister of Prophet Sulaiman (Solomon, AS). The Quran mentions that a man "who had knowledge of the Book" brought the throne of Bilqis (the Queen of Sheba) to Sulaiman in the blink of an eye. Classical scholars of tafsir identify this man as Asif ibn Barkhiya.
